Ethnic Diverse Staff Network group

This is a place for staff to talk confidentially about their work experiences, identify and respond to matters that affect ethnically diverse staff and contribute to improving the work experience of ethnically diverse colleagues. Our aim is to promote a work environment in which all staff feel supported, valued, and are able to be themselves. We would always challenge any discrimination and positively promote equality.

All staff are welcomed to the network as by joining, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference by playing an important role in help improve the workplace and raise awareness and being visible to support colleagues and service users who identify as people from ethnically diverse groups.

Menopause Network and Champions

This network is for people that are trying to manage and live with menopausal symptoms or caring for somebody who is, this includes family, friends, colleagues, and team members. We need to talk about the menopause more openly which can be done with the right help and support. It is also not something only women need to know about…everyone does! The network will listen and work with our leaders and staff to support and drive change in relation to the menopause.
The group meets the third Wednesday of every month at 3pm to share information, provide support, and encourage awareness across the organisation. We are currently seeking a chair for the network, if you are interested please contact rjah.edi.od@nhs.net.

Pride staff network group

Pride staff network group Logo

The Pride staff network group provides support to staff, promotes an inclusive culture, and advises the Trust on the development of policies in order to address inequalities that affect the LGBTQIA+ community.

We want to enable our staff to learn and improve their knowledge to support the LGBTQIA+ community, and to feel confident to start conversations. We will support you to “speak up” if you experience or see behaviour that is not aligned to the RJAH values.

The network meets on the first Wednesday of every month and our Chairs, Alice Amyes and Rico Lycett, always welcome new members to the network as we want to empower all employees to step up as LGBTQIA+ allies and improve the workplace culture for everyone within the Trust. We welcome all staff who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, staff who are parents of the youth LGBTQIA+ community, and staff that want to show their support to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Network Chair: Alice Amyes and Rico Lycett Email Address: rjah.pridenetwork@nhs.net

Staff Disability Network Group

Our aim in this network is to give a voice to our colleagues who have a disability, a neurodiversity, or a long term health condition. We want to provide a space for colleagues to come together to support one another and help identify issues and barriers in relation to our Trust’s policies and procedures. The network also promotes disability and neurodiversity awareness and makes suggestions as to what could make our working lives easier.
The network is chaired by Ellie Baldwin on the fourth Friday of every month at 12:30pm and Ellie invites all staff to attend to either share their experiences or joining as an ally.
